PAST MASTERS in Early American Domestic Arts

P
AST MASTERS in Early American Domestic Arts is an educational not-for-profit corporation dedicated to research, demonstration and interpretation of English domestic activities prevalent in William Penn's world during the colonial period (1681-1783) with emphasis on the period of the American Revolution, using primary source documentation such as diaries, newspapers, account books, letters, wills, inventories, and items of material culture.

PAST MASTERS members frequently publish independent articles covering the many aspects of domestic life in the aforementioned period. As a group they publish for subscription a quarterly newsletter, a popular cookbook titled The Pennsylvania Housewife, and have compiled a bound volume of the first five years of PAST MASTERS News, their quarterly newsletter.

The group and its members make themselves available to public and private organizations for demonstrations, seminars, school programs and speaking engagements. A list of activities and images from past activities are included on this website.
