PAST MASTERS
in Early American Domestic Arts

All good things must come to an end,
and so it is with Past Masters in Early American Domestic Arts. We have existed as a not-for-profit organization since our formation in 1986, through 2012.

Our quarterly newsletter, PAST MASTERS NEWS, started out as an in-house communication among our members to share our research, but so many people and institutions asked to be put on the mailing list to receive copies that we decided to take on subscriptions.

PAST MASTERS NEWS ceased publication with our Fall 2012 issue. We offer three bound volumes of back issues set up in five year increments, 1998-2002, 2003-2007, and 2008-2012, all footnoted, and all fully indexed. Our copyrighted cookbook, "The Pennsylvania Housewife; English Household Receipts of the Middle Colonies", published in 2003 by the members of PAST MASTERS, contains over 100 documented receipts (recipes) with advice on fires, safety, observations on cooking, a marketing guide, glossary, and the benefit of the experiences of the members of PAST MASTERS in the preparation of these receipts.

Copies of our publications are still available by mail order.

Individual back issues, from 2003-2012, are available at $3.50 each plus $2.00 shipping and handling, while supplies last. Shipping overpayment will be included with your order if necessary. Copies of back issues, bound volumes, and our cookbook can be ordered by mail using our order form, or by credit card or PayPal account. Contact Deb Peterson to confirm the availability of individual back issues. Get copies for yourself and your favorite site, historic cook, organization or institution NOW - when they're gone, they're gone.

We cannot thank our newsletter contributors enough, both members and guests, for the monumental work they've done in researching the massive list of subjects covered in these issues. Our work has found its way into museums, historic sites, universities, middle and high schools, and both private and public libraries. We are incredibly proud of the newsletter, and humbled by the many compliments we've received over the years.

Individual members of PAST MASTERS will continue their research and educational work on their own and can be contacted individually for presentations and demonstrations of the caliber everyone has come to expect of Past Masters as a group. Contact information for individual Past Masters members with a link to their individual web site, will be available until December 31, 2013.
